This 1825 miniature by Nathaniel Rogers has been decoupaged onto an antique German saucer, the maker of which I’ve yet been unable to identify. The saucer is a delicate, serrated leaf with gilt venation.

Nathaniel Rogers was an American painter from Long Island known as the preeminent miniature portrait painter in New York City in the early part of the 19th century.
